ASSOCIATION “BULGARIAN CHILDREN AND YOUTH’S PARLIAMENT”

  General Information

 The association is a national non-governmental organization. It has branches in many towns in Bulgaria. The participation is on voluntary bases and members can be children and youngsters with no restrictions of age, sex, ethnic origin, religion, etc. The organization promotes freedom of thought, freedom of speech and freedom of choice. We insist on equality of all members and the special positions some of them may occupy are more of a formal issue. The internal regulations of the organization are really democratic. We value each person because of his or her unique character and ideas. The organization is open for all who are interested nd one is free to leave without any obligation whenever that interest ceases.  

Social commitment

 The world and especially our country need more well-educated and responsible people who are devoted to their society and would like to make a difference. Our organization is a meeting place for socially aware young people who rely mainly on their personal initiative. They are ready to do different kinds of voluntary work. The organization enterprises activities and projects which develop awareness of the social needs and problems of the community and seek ways to improve the environment we live in.  

Support personal development

As a part of the collective of the organization each member has the chance to obtain knowledge and skills useful in his or her future studies and work. The participation in different activities not only builds up essential skills for professional realization but also enriches the personal qualities of the youngsters. Thus, they will be fully equipped with the knowledge and skills which community involvement and leadership demand.  

Global vision

In today’s diverse society it is essential to develop one’s ability to adjust to new settings and communicate with people from widely different backgrounds in an effective and sensitive manner. The cross-cultural experience is vital for success in every career field as one has to work with employers, colleagues, or clients with different value systems and understandings of the world. That is why the organization is especially interested in international projects in collaboration with similar organizations from other countries. The organization has always supported ideas connected with intercultural interaction, encouraging tolerance and undertanding between the people. Youngsters can help each other explore and learn about their cultures and to overcome the differences between the nations. The future is in the hands of today's youth and we should all strive for a peaceful and secure future for all people, regardless of race, language or religion.
